Following his career as a veterinarian, Don began carving birds, ornaments and decorative accessories. Over the years his hobby has taken him to carving exhibitions around the country where he has won many awards for his bird carvings.

Don's studio is a place for serious carving, many kinds of music, great conversation and lots of humor. It's also a thriving center for carving classes, featuring renowned carvers from around the country. Don and the guest master carvers are committed to encouraging carvers and to sharing techniques that help seasoned and new carvers expand their skills.
